Thanked: Once
petrol accidentally filled in diesel car

My friend accidentally filled his uncle's ford fiesta with petrol , i.e., there was 1/4th diesel in the car and the rest petrol. The car reached his home (about 1/2 km away from the pump) without any incident. Now, the mix is complete and the engine is not starting. A ford mechanic has agreed to come and drain the petrol.

Will there be any problems on the long run for the car (about 5 months old)? And can we make use of the mixed fuel which is going to be drained?
