Engine decarb is done using an automated machine, which pumps in a decarb solution along with petrol. Engine is kept at raised RPM and the carbon deposits are burned off?

If this is the system, then i personally wont recommend.

1) Engine is subjected to very hot conditions for almost 30-40 mts during this process.
2) I had major issues with spark plugs getting chocked ON and OFF after carbon clean. They will do a clean up after 100 kms BUT still its a possibility that plugs will get chocked again.

Instead save the money, buy some system G for petrol, and go along with just throttle body cleaning (the dismantling and cleaning way, NOT the Spray method)

Thanks Jaggu, will tell them not to do de-carb. Will ask them anyway about the procedure.
Yeah about throttle body cleaning it'll be manual only. I asked them (just to be sure) how they do TB cleaning and he told me the same procedure of opening up the throttle body and manually cleaning it.
where can I buy System G? And what is this additive do actually?

Something i remembered and might have missed out, if its not too late do ask them to do an engine flush before they put in the new oil.

Engine oil change will be done tomorrow as I've not received the package yet. Going for OWS 5w50 this time. And will do the engine flush also (but is it actually required?)

And I was surprised that when the service engineer had told me that the present oil is still in usable state. Is it that the synthetics doesn't loose the viscosity as much as the Mineral ones ?

Since your oil change interval is longer it would be worth the flush, dont go by service engineers advice on this. No one for that matter can figure out if the oil is ok or not, by just looking/feeling at it.

Important thing is to drain out the old oil completely (wait for couple of mts with oil filler plug open) before filling in the new.

Got the car back from service center. They've not yet changed the plugs as they were not able to get the NGK plugs and they told me that they'll get them tomorrow. But I just want to make it sure by getting them myself. Can anyone please tell me where can I buy NGK plugs in Bangalore? I need info about some reliable shops down south (Jayanagar/JP Nagar/BG road/JC road etc). Would really appreciate the help.
BTW, they've changed the gear oil and added some 3M transmission oil additive, I'm not sure what it is actually.
Brake bleeding done and air filter changed. Few differences I noticed was that car was not dying even in 3rd at low speed and the juddering at reverse has become considerably less (although I'm still to test it on a incline)

Just seen your post Jaggu, actually I've just asked if it's required or not. The service engineer has actually told me to flush the engine when I told him that I'm getting the engine flush. He also pressed for the de-carb as according to him this may solve my mileage problem but I told him that I'll check how the engine is behaving after flushing and oil change and then decide. And I actually asked him how they do flushing(just to check if he knows how to do flushing or not) and he told me the exact procedure for it. So I think he has already done this before but anyway I'll be present when he do it. They'll also do the TB cleaning tomorrow.

I think throttle body cleaning and spark plugs will make a good difference too, also if you get time try to get the valve clearance set (ideally after engine has cooled down).

A day full of work is over and got the car back. First of all let me thank Riju for informing me about OWS and then about Farhan. And thanks Farhan for sending the package over to me. Engine flushing is done with OWS engine fulsh and then Engine Oil OWS 5w50 was put along with a OWS engine protector. Initial impression is that the engine is running very smooth and the engine noise is quite less. Pickup seems to be much better(may be psychological). Will go for a longer test drive tomorrow to see how she behaves.
And all these thing happened with lot of incidents at the workshop. I couldn't get the plugs changed as they by mistake ordered a different set of NGK plugs which doesn't fit into Baleno's engine. So I'm still using the old plugs only, will try to find out in other places if available.
Then when they were trying to open the Throttle Body for cleaning then they broke the TB sensor. Luckily there was a spare available in their other workshop but to get it here it took lotsa time. It seems that sensor costs 6500 Rs but they've taken the responsibility as it was their fault and changed it for free. (I hope there won't be any issue because of that sensor being changed, it's basically the same part anyway, right? )
After all these it was found that left headlamp was not working and luckily it was just a connection that was snapped.
Anyway, all's well if ends well, will get the plugs tomorrow and hope that the car will behave better after all these sweat and toil.
Thanks a lot to all(and specially Jaggu, Riju and Farhan) for your inputs.
Regards,
Kaushik

No matter how much Engine protector additives you use, please remember to give priority to Oil change interval. In our conditions, with fully synthetics, don't venture beyond 10,000 kms if you want to keep the car for long.
