Just went to Dakshin Honda and checked out.
Both the BOLT and the nut is gone. Said under Rs500 :eek: to change, and they had no stock today.

Any how seems not a major issue, and can be easily replaced.

500 is justified for that particular part.it also includes the labour for opening the hub assembly.also the bolt which is used is specifically a load bearing unit.and it should be of the highest quality hence the expensive price tag is justified.

Unknown:try different pressures.like 35 will give you good economy but a harsher ride.30-32 should be ideal.i used 35 in my 17" tires but the ride became too jarring.even more so because its already a 17".so i now use 30psi.
but at 35 it had became faster as well as gave better mileage.

@lalu : I agree with nav here. I know for a fact that Honda OEM nuts and bolts are well respected in the tuner communities abroad. For all these little odds and ends, they always prefer OEM because it's made from exceptionally strong materials and is of top shelf quality. I'd get it done from the A.S.S.

Warranty is only for the first year.
New ones I too need to know which one is preferred.

I suppose any of Bosch, Amaron or Exide would be fine. In my case, A.S.S. gave decent offer of Exide maintenance free so I simply got it done from them. I did not want hassles of comparing the ratings, space in battery bay, ECM locking up, etc. when all power would be disconnected.

My 70k Service cost 17.5k Rs.

Was skimming a possibility for the front discs? Or it was beyond that :)

Completed Half-a-lakh kms in 2.5 years in my Civic-AT.
Will be going for the service soon (Sundaram Honda-Madurai).
Will post detailed details after it.

An quick one-line long-term-review:
Great driving pleasure, except for the brake-wobbling (which was solved with Rs.5K:Frustrati).

I am in love with my car! .

In the USA, all Civics (should apply to all Hondas) have a lifetime warranty on the seat belts. I bought a 7 year old Civic and got the seat belts changed free of cost as I noticed some slackness in their retraction.

Question to all Civic owners here - Does the Indian Civic come with such a warranty on seat belts ? Thanks

No idea!! I guess not.

Meanwhile I have changed the wheel nut - costed Rs.240. Stud was fine, hence kept the same, else that is around 600.

Saw quite a lot of new civic reports. Cool, and welcome all to the club.

Meanwhile I see some insane pricing in Bangalore :Shockked:
