The new mount is holding fine since it's been installed and has not shown any of the mount symptoms so far. Also the gap has remained consistent. I have covered approximate 23k kms on the mount and see no signs of wear and tear.
How much is the new mount for at HASS?
I've got the mount replaced last month, second time. The first one lasted 50k kms. At 1900 bucks, I'd say it did it's job well.

It will cost 10k including tax labour etc.
That's pretty expensive. I'd suggest going for a good quality aftermarket mount. The mounts available in Delhi/NCR at ghai, batra etc last long.
Can anyone share the part number of the new mount design? It'll be interesting to see what Honda has changed.

I think it comes with Synth, and the first oil change is only at the six month point. no point in forcing the change.

Hi Guys,
A trucker rammed into my car last night. Damaged driver side door. What do you guys think is the best way to get it fixed. Shall I go through the Honda way or shall i get it done from outside. I do not have 0 Dep insurance on the car and the car is 5 years old.

Oooh. Poor girl. Though I wouldn't call it "rammed" because if a truck rams a sedan in the true sense of the word, there's not much left to salvage in most cases. So in comparision, this is just a "pappi" maybe :) . Some low slung bumper part of the truck must have scraped it.
Going the Honda way would cost you about 4-5 times what it would outside with a great job mostly done at Honda. Outside you will have to be sure you have a really good denter and painter at your disposal because not all of those dudes know to get the Honda 'lines' or 'curves' properly. So it depends on what is your choice.
You're lucky that your mirror, door handle, glass and the A-pillar etc don't seem to be even touched in the event. That's great. So you just have the door sheet metal to be looked into. The side trim though seems to be hard to procure in most cases. This one may be possible to set straight....

You are right. But the truck had hit with a real force in the stationary car. I was inside the car and it it was dragged fir almost a feet before the truck stopped. About the repair, don't think this door can be repaired. The cut in the sheet is quite big for the repair. Now the question is weather i should get an old door from the scrap market and get it painted or replace with a new door.

If you get hold of a good condition door from the scrap yard then nothing like that but repainting it would make it evident that the door was replaced. See if the painting guy can match the right side colour condition post replacement.

Yah. You got a point there. Technically it can definately be done. Any kind of tear can be fixed/patched with it being impossible to detect later. But in some scenarios you got to weigh the options of either doing that or getting a new part and repaint to match the car. It might be a better bet in this case. Then the only thing you will have to be careful about is getting a painter who really knows his shades good.

Try Heera Motors in Gurgaon. Hes a wizard. Denting, painting, mechanicals, orvm repair, everything.
Even HASS accepted that the quality of painting by him was better than what they did
Ive see him repair an almost totalled civic with airbags deployed, rolled over twice, A pillar collapse, windwhied etc gone.

Poor sight. Get an approximate quote from Honda. If 'bearable' then go with them, else it is best done outside, IFF colour is matched.
Another query, has anyone tried Liqui Moly engine oil on the Civic?
I know the stock oil by Idemitsu is great but just wanted to know if anyone has the experience.
