Problem with replacement FIAT Palio body panels

As you people know i met with an accident 3-4 months back and had to change the left side both front and rear doors and little touch on the rear left quarter panel. well i was pretty happy with the work from VST motors chennai. you check out the pics here

well about a month back i noticed paint is going bad, so showed it to the people at VST motors body shop and they were also very surprised, they told me that they will do it again and i can give the car any time. well the paint lost all the shine and surface is very rough. there are also few small round spots where it looks like top layer of clear coat has came off. sorry i haven't taken any pics

well same problem is faced by two other Tbhpian with palio. and the paint has gone bad only for the doors, they have also painted the rear quarter panel which looks perfectly fine. well today i thot of giving the car and went there, then the supervisor there told me that most of the replacement panel they are fitting on FIAT cars are having this problem with paint. so there can be some defect in panel. they have taken the car and told me that will try some other method for painting.

my question is how is this possible that replacement panels are defective ? even to me it looks like the case of defect as i have myself seen paint on bottle's car which looks same as mine :( .....

Yeah same issue here and same issue on patchyboys car too. I dont think its a painting defect since I got my door repainted twice and after a while the surface (on the replaced door alone) reverts back to a disfigured state.

it is the paint, IMO, that is causing the bubbles. take the car to a good local paint shop and get it painted again.

yeah thats wat i was thinking but all 3 cars are painted at different paint shops, my at VST chennai, bottle's at concorde and patchyboys at bangalore. how all will have same problem and after same period.

also the supervisor told me they are facing this with almost all fiat's they have changed panels, also in my case nothing happned to the paint on the quarter panel. that why i made this thread, is this possible ??

I assume these doors/panels come pre-treated/primed. Something would have gone wrong there.

well got the car back yesterday night and cudn't see the color properly due to low light and felt color was not matching. but checked it again today morning and its good, color is matching pefectly.

well at the service station the supervisor told me that they called the DuPont people who supplied the paint. they were all clueless, anyways they suggested to put a coat of primer before painting. that what they have done now, lets see how it goes, i have to wait 2-3 months to be completely sure
