Team-BHP - Paintless Dent repair

It worked well on the Etios since the body is made of not so thick sheets. But I have some issues with that glue stick. It's not always sticking to the surface. Why not use something like Fevicol instead? Will it be too difficult to remove it?

As you said, it's definitely worth the price. Though not a must have equipment, I recommend it too.:thumbs up

Hi All,

I am looking for popping out a minor dent from my Vento. Could you suggest some shop or tool to do so without damaging the paint surface ? I am based at Bangalore and unable to trace Autovega folks here.

Attached pic shows the damage caused by a reckless biker and is a big eyesore on my 3 months old Vento.

I will appreciate any pointers on how to get rid of it with minimal damage as VW is known for its pricey repair jobs.

open the plastic cowl inside the wheel well and use the grabbing head of a screw driver and gently push it out to shape. you should be able to put it to shape if done properly. :)

Since the dent has taken place on the line/ridge, it will not be an easy DYI job.

I second planet_rocker. It can be done by yourself with some care. Work it out from the inside of the panel. Since the dent is on a crease, you need to be careful. Heating may not be required since the dent is not deep. Checkout this video.

I have this Dent on my bonnet(Swift) caused due to a projectile(stone) from a truck ahead.

I tried the DIY options such as Vacuum glass hook etc, but no success.

This area of the bonnet has another layer of sheet underneath(with gap in between) so i cannot hammer it back as well.

Service center guy quoted something like 3.5K since they have to cut the metal, remove the dent from inside and then weld it back :Shockked:

I felt 3.5K is a big ask(when new bonnet would cost around 4-5K ???)

Has anyone got similar dent removed ? what are my options here. please suggest.

Anyone knows a good paintless dent repair shop/expert in Trivandrum ? Have a dent on the wheel arches of a Nissan Micra. Its the Sunlight Orange color, so a repaint just on the affected area would definitely be noticeable.

I have a dent on my car that looks exactly like icecoolsam's pic - just above the tyre, small indentation, probably made by someone else slamming their door on my car. Don't even know when it happened.

Any suggestions for similar quick & easy dent fix in Chennai?

I want to know if PDR is possible to fix dents on the entire roof of my Lancer. I am Pune based but the damage happened in Bikaner when the car was parked under a tree. A herd of goats jumped on the bonnet and then on the roof to eat the leaves off the low hanging branches. After their fill they got off the rear end. You can imagine the scratches all over the car and a big crater on the roof. I could manage to bump up the roof from inside but it has lost its original smooth curve.
If PCD won't help then what are my alternatives? I have already fixed the bonnet and the rear end but for the roof the A*S*S advised me ignore it.
