My workshop is Bhagavathi motors, which is a myTVS Franchise.
They said they got the quote from a TASC (My guess is Sifa motors as folks have posted here that they have some tie up/have some shared ownership etc)
I guessed as much that TASC would give an outrageous quote, based on my experience with my Fuel pump overhaul, where they did something similar, and ended up with myTVS (who don't put a significant buffer on top of the quote they get from lucas tvs as they are all TVS group)

But what was surprising is that TEL is a TVS group co, and TVS has a TEL Sales/service centre in chennai, and they did not connect with them. Perhaps because I have told them to stick to Tata original parts wherever possible
