V6 3L - Nissan VQ30DE - Mileage Improvement

Hi Mates

One of our family friends owns a premium luxury car that is powered by The 3.0 L (2987 cc) VQ30DE engine.

V6 3L - Nissan VQ30DE - Mileage Improvement-vq30de.jpg
Specs:
bore and stroke of 93 mm and 73.3 mm respectively

compression ratio of 10.0:1.

It produces 193 PS (190 hp/142 kW) to 230 PS (227 hp/169 kW) @6400 rpm and 205 to 217 ft·lbf (278 to 294 N·m) @4400 rpm.

The VQ30DE was on the Ward's 10 Best Engines list from 1995 through 2001.

It is an aluminum open deck block design with microfinished internals and a relatively light weight.

Happy Areas:
This Engine Rocks its performance with the best pick-up and fuel efficiency of 10KMPL on Highways.

Pain Areas
In City we are hardly acheiving 6 KMPL.....

Is there any way we can improve the mileage of this car....

Please help out...

You have a "Premium Luxury Car" with a 3L 200hp engine and you are not satisfied with 6kmpl?

BTW is it a Nissan Cedric?

I'm not sure if you could expect much improvement in the mileage with a 3.0L engine. And with anything over 200bhp,thats probably in the range of 4-6kmpl.I would say 6 isn't bad.

Wow, highly oversquare engine.

A bore/stroke ratio of 1.26:1 for such a car is insane by today's standards.

There aren't many cars that can beat this.

das

not meant to hurt your kind hearted suggestion for cng/lpg

but i feel really hurt to gas/lpg on the high end cars....

that's the main reason for seeking suggestions from our most loved auto community "TEAM-BHP'

I laugh at people using cng/lpg on a sonata/accord/skoda...../recently benz.. shocking

Mates..

my problem is.... i drove all the way from pune to tirupati to give my most loved swift ldi (yes, after my drive experience on my swift this became my second beloved car.. offcourse lancer is the best) to my Dad.

my Dad gave me freedom to pick my choice of car

I preffered to go for a neat used car (U guys know my story of loosing money selling my Lancy and the peanuts offered to my swift). So thought of this option...

My Dad calls up our relative (friend of dad..should say one of his best 40+ buddies... we cant find handfull of them these days... I hope I was born then.. but would have missed T-Bhp... ) he calls me and says .. no skoda.. no accord.. take my car...in sweet words "son you will love it"

any day u feel u cannot afford..... let me know.. i have a huge que of fans for this carwho will exchange it with u r dream car....

I don't want to hurt feelings of my uncle and never of my dad.... so I am confused.......

Please Help me..

Its not maximus/ I30..... I am not sure if it was a 2 door or 4 door...

visiting my uncle next week... till then i am keepng my fingers crossed
