Exactly sir. I meant the front only. When I got them replaced in Oct 2011 with the ODO at 147,000kms, I paid 550 for the Rotor. I have heard the price has increased now.

Yes, its a simple task lasting 30 minutes or even lesser with proper set of equipment. Any ASC will do that. But remember that you don't get confused between Wobble at high speeds and shudder at high speeds (Only during braking). Its for the latter that you start looking at Discs as the culprit. The price of 550 INR was for the WagonR.

I really appreciate the info you gave. Back with questions again
Did you change discs only in both front tires? Or did you also change brake pad & brake shoe to go with the new disc.

I changed the disc only for one wheel (Left Hand side) and I didn't change the pads. My brake pads usually last (Read efficiency and not life) anywhere between 60k-70k.

Also, there is no linkage between Changing pads and Rotors. They were independent activities based on symptoms I explained.

Brake Shoe is for rear wheels for car equipped with Drum Brakes. Hence Shoes are synonymous with Drum Brakes while pads tag along with Disc Brake systems.

Hope I am clear now.

Well it turned out to be a hub deflection (front left). MASS changed the hub under extended warranty. Final bill = Rs. 19.00/-
