Battery or started/solenoid

My Indica(42000 done) sometimes refuses to start. The starter motor goes just half turn, like what happens with a weak battery. But it happens very rarely. typically once a week. One mechanic says battery is gone. Other says if battery problem then it should manifest itself mostly in mornings so starter/solenoid gone and starter motor overhaul has to be done. anybody else faced such a problem? It comes occaisonally, once it came when car had been parked for 4 hours, another time it came in morning. And once it came when car had been parked for just 30 minutes. Push starting starts the car.

judging by the mileage it sounds like the battery. Go to the battery wallah and check the voltage- that should confim it.
