hi guys,

i have bought bolero slx 6 months ago.
it has a factory central locking system (made by minda).

it dose not have any buzzer to it so i cannot hear locking or unlocking,
i just want to fit a buzzer to central locking unit.

the owners manual says that it is possible to fit the buzzer.
but the company now says that it is not possible.

help me !!

another option is installing new system like autocop
but at the cost of (additional) 4000/- & warranty of the vehicle.

You mean the "beep beep" on remote locking & unlocking? Should be the simplest. Why don't you simply get in touch with your dealer or a local accessory shop?

Is it only a central locking system or does it also have a remote with it?

You can add a buzzer to your remote locking system. Costs about Rs.600

But, are you having a remote locking sys ?

Yes, SLX, VLX and Sp. Edition have got factory fitted, Minda make Remote Locking System. As jeepster says, while locking and unlocking there is no buzzer to give an audio indication, but all the turning indicators lights up. I hope a buzzer may be connected easily like GTO says!

yes , i am trying to get the "beep'er from the deler for past 7 months !!

yes it dose have a single remote with with key.

but the mahindra guy (Subrata Bhattacharya Customer Care - Pune) says that it is not possible to fit any buzzer to system otherwise i will loose warranty on bolero.

he says that i will have to change all sentral locking system for the beep sound & i will loose warranty.

what should i do ?

i only have following options


* change central locking & loose warranty.
* just add buzzer & loose warranty.
* do nothing & curse myself & mahindra
* file a case of cheating or misguiding against mahindra & mahindra
