Neat feature - must have been put in place to warn the driver of the possibility of getting a ticket in places where properly working tail lamps are a must.

If only we have similar "fitness" tests for the vehicles on our roads.

I said earlier its most likely that one of the bulbs have gone, but this might help

That warning lamp is the usual "tail lights out" one. Check you tail lamps.

@Samir Taheer& laluks- All the tailamps are working except for the rear left license plate light,will replace the bulb over the weekend and see whether the warning goes off or not.

DVR - The link says it might be a problem with the harness. The warning light will most likely be to indicate a bulb has gone, but if there is a wiring problem somewhere it may stay on even though all the bubls are ok. Hope by changing the licence plate bulb the warning lights goes, but i wouldnt have thought those were monitored. If you post the problem on Toyota Nation one of the experts on their should be able to answer your question.
