Vista Tdi - Engine oil and the Check engine light turns ON

Hello Folks,

I just got a new Indica Vista Tdi last week. When I turn the key to the ON position the engine oil and the Check engine light turns on but refuse to go off. Once I start the car both the engine oil and Check engine light turn off. Is this normal. Also it would be great if somebody would help me get a Vista Tdi workshop manual

i think this is as expected, at least from my indica turbo. dont have the car with me atm, so cant check

This is perfectly normal.

Is this typical of diesels?
In my petrol car, the engine check light goes off after like 5 seconds. I crank the car only after that. The oil light stays on till i crank though.
