Fitting intercooler in lancer possible? - Advice needed

Can i fit Indigo's intercooler in lancer diesel, between the airfilter output and engine manifold, so that the air cools and will it improve performance and mileage? Is it feasible? Have anyone tried this?

As far as I know it does not have a turbo to compress the air which would have increased the intake temps. The intercooler is required to drop intake temps, in your given case I dont see the need for one.

Lancer diesel is naturally aspirated. It has no turbo and an intercooler will be of no benefit to it.

Adding a intercooler to a non turbocharged car is a waste, no practical benefits.

Rajiv, only turbo cars need intercoolers. Na cars do not. The lancer is NA, so there won't be much benefit from this mod.

Depends on the boost the trubo is set to generate, earlier Indigos did not have intercooler, but tata added one intent 9bhp over the first generation turbos.

Thanks all bhpians, i thought intercooler will boost something without turbo (so that cold air may make some positive change), anyways, i have dropped the idea. You people saved me from spending much without any final output.
