Wagon R Clutch problem?

My Sep 2007 Wagon R (12k km) has developed a problem (I am not sure if its right to call it a problem). While driving, when I initially release the clutch (while pressing the accelerator, of course), the vehicle does not move; the power comes only at the end of the release.

I have driven some other cars (Zen Estilo, Alto), this problem isnt there. What could be the issue?

Please let me know what I should be asking for at an A.S.S. so that I am not taken for a ride.

Regards,
Aroop

Nothing wrong with the car.
Take it to a service station & get you clutch adjusted.

Sushrutha, I had been informed that the clutches in these modern vehicles are self-adjusting. But i perhaps there still might be some scope for manual adjustment or what?

Had the same issue in my 9 month old alto. Just adjust the clutch play and everything will be allrigt.

Thanks for the inputs. Though I am not competent to adjust it myself, I will ask my local mechanic to do it.

No big deal take it down during your regular service. If the problem persists then we have a problem. 12K is too early for these sort of problems unless the driving style is out of the ordinary.
