Is there any liquid called "super charger" that needs to be added to the oil?

This time when I went for 3rd service of my car, the workshop guy told me that in addition to replacing the engine oil, they will also be adding super charger in the oil so that the engine runs smooth, give excellent power and fuel economy and they were going to charge me for Rs.400 /- for that in addition to regular oil change bill.

When I asked him that I have not heard of such thing before, he told me that it is of utmost necessity for your car. I was somehow not convinced and got it removed from the bill statement. Anyhow, they did not make any fuss and removed that though showed a bit of unhappiness.

Please let me know if there is any such thing and if it is actually required and I have done some big mistake by refusing to it or it was the usual exercise of workshop people to increase the bill. Also, is there any thing else also which should be mixed with engine oil as I usually go for the plain engine oil without any additives.

Before posting this thread, i searched on team-bhp as well as internet but didn't find any such thing or thread. Please point me if some discussion already exists on the same. Thanks.

Simple - Engine oil additives like Bardahl/STP etc. This is just a friction enhancer.

No point putting it, might as well go fully synthetic. There is no thing as a liquid super charger - super charging & turbo charging are words used to represent different forms of forced induction of air into the engine. Where's the question of oil entering into the picture ?

It will not do anything other than to reduce friction a little bit & keep the engine oil a slightly better life.
