Re: Paint Getting Off

Slightly unclear.

Was the bonnet repainted when the car was 2 months old and now it is 6 years old? In this case, the A.S.S. will not entertain any complaints regarding paint.

Given the manner in which the paint has come of, I have a feeling it could be due to other factors - does water fall on those spots from the roof or something?

Any way, you could get the bonnet repainted at a good FNG - should cost ~3-4k.

Re: Paint Getting Off

As said by libran above, A.S.S won't entertain any complains, since it's been a long time after they painted the car, as shown in pictures, i doubt it's because of poor paint job, but you never know .

Get bonnet painted at some good paint shop, will not cost you much, but you should surely contact them and ask them the reason behind this .

BTW was the car pressured wash regularly ? , if yes then the reason can be that, they may not have used primer properly before paint job or may be they haven't used primer at all, which resulted in paint getting off due to excessive pressure wash . Another reason which i can think of is, that some chemical got spilled on car, or something like this .

Cheers

I will get it repainted soon, but i never got my car pressure washed apart from the servicing done at regular intervals, that too from an authorised hyundai service station.

I haven't ever used any kind of polish/rubbing material on my car, nor do i remember any sort of acid or chemical spilling over my car, unless something was done while my car was parked and i didn't notice it.

I put up in a group housing society, so we have a common car parking, there is no fixed spot for any car, I doubt water could do such a damage.
