That is absolutely correct as I found out a long time back (Dec 1996) with my Maruti 800. The engine can suffer damage and could even require overhauling.
Fortunately for me, the damage was not much.

GTO, the Accessories market here in Delhi is not well developed. Expertise is not widely available and if it is, be ready to burn a deep hole in your pocket.

The car is 2nd owner and we acquired it when it had clocked about 700 Kilometers and about 2 months old in mint condition. I checked from Hyundai if it ever came for any accidental or any other issues and there was no such history. The first owner had installed those Big Chrome Grilled Roots horns and then this mess would've taken place then. Thank God the problem was rectified without much damage. The car now has Hella Twin Tone horns and sounds good especially during driving with the trucks in Faridabad.

And all i20 owners, Hyundai Service Center placed Rubber Covering just behind the Battery for protecting something related to ECU against water and dust free of cost as per Hyundai's directives. I shall open a new thread in interest of all i20 owners tomorrow with pics.

Glad to know the issue was solved without much postmortem or so.
