Fiat Linea Petrol - Burning Smell

Hello,
I have been driving a Fiat Line purchased 7 months back. I have already accosted the dealer in Kolkata to top-up 2 lts of mobile when the car did 8000kms (6 months) and again the gauge shows to be half empty again when the car is 9200kms now. Please advise! when i start the car in the morning, it emits a smell of mobile buring; please advise

Could you be more clear?

What do you mean by Mobile, do you mean Mobil oil? Then which gauge are you talking about?

I think he is talking about the dip stick. if the engine oil level is going down - better get it checked at the service centre. ask them to check the head gaskets.

How do the coolant look? does it show signs of oil in it? does the car emit smoke?

I doubt the quality of gaskets / seals fitted in earlier Puntos and Lineas - I have steering fluid leak (very minor) - anyway my spare part has arrived so going to replace the steering box. The current one's seal is the source of leak.

Losing two liter of oil is no joke.

get it checked ASAP. Its still under warranty.

Is it a diesel or petrol, be specific.

thanks

Is this a petrol linea?

If yes,and if it is Mobil oil you are referring to, check your tail pipe to see if there is soot on the inside(very unlikely in a new car but please check)

Also, check your coolant if it shows traces of oil/emulsion

No wonder everyone reads the thread title just like that. it clearly mentions Petrol Linea

Isn't Mobil a company just like Xerox?
