Volvo innovative solution to address environmental issues

I came across a very interesting writeup somewhere on web and found that intereting to share here(sorry do not remember the site).Volvo Buses are set to tackle the stringent norms with its advanced diesel engine technology with a special focus on the exhaust gas treatment through Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). SCR comprises of a tank for AdBlue (Urea solution) as well as the SCR converter. The exhaust gases pass through the tank and reacts with the urea solution which generates ammonia and carbon dioxide. The nitrogen oxides then reacts with the ammonia which results in the creation of nitrogen gas and water vapour. Ammonia residues also transform into nitrogen gas and water in the integrated clean up converter and the end result is possibly the cleanest exhaust from an internal combustion engine ever. This sounds very interesting, if any one having more information then please share. It will be good to know in what stage this solution is?
Mod - Hope i am putting this thread at the right place if not then please feel free to move
