Hey by any chance,do you have the softcopy of Automotive Mechanics by Anglin and Crouse?
I've got the 1 & 3 ones
I don't have a soft copy, but I have a hard copy (old version) of this book. This is one book I've thoroughly read, stresses more on fundamentals. Can you provide me with those books please (by mail)? PM me if possible.

Re: Books and Web Resources on Vehicle & Automobile tech

I am a verrrrry regular t-bhp lurker, but I had no recollection that I had started this thread

Anyway, one of the excellent books I have read is "Gasoline Engine Management " by Bosch (available on Amazon). Excellent introductory text on computer controlled engines in the Bosch universe (although the principles would apply to Magnetti Marelli ECUs as well).

@coolclouds: you're talking about the one with the red Ferrari Testarossa's (or was it the 348?) rear on the front cover, aren't you? Someone gifted that book to me in 1990 (I was 9). Was completely hooked to it due to the details it had (as compared to, say, Daily Express' World Cars book).

I think so. It had thick cover pages, occasional good quality color glossy prints and more b&w pages. All data from price to top speed mentioned.

Hi all, you can do a book search at ecommerce website flipkart.com also . This is my suggestion; even though I dont have personal buying experience from them.
