M800: Problem in slotting the car into gears

Hi All,

I have a 3 year old, 28K run, regularly serviced M800. Recently, and intermittently it becomes very difficult to engage the car into any gear. It takes a lot of force to put the push the gear stick and slot the car into any particular gear. Sometimes I have to use so much force that it feels as though the gear stick will bend.

What do you think the problem is and how can this be corrected?.

Have you checked your clutch adjustment and inspected the cable? Also check if the gear lever bushes are intact

Also check the gear linkages. Sometimes a stone hit can bend the linkage and cause hard shifting.
