Cleaning the Air Filter of Maruti Esteem VXI BS II Limited Edition 2003

Hey guys, I drive a Maruti Esteem VXI BS11 Limited Edition purchased in 2003. Have started taking an interest in looking under the hood. Can anyone tell me where to find and how to clean the air filter. Inclusion of pictures would be wonderful. Also, how often do I need to clean it? Thanks in advance.

I cleaned Santro Air Filter Yesterday using Vacuum Cleaner on blower mode, but i didn't took pics.

For maruti also it should be quite same as other cars.
You'll need to remove the Locks which hold the top cover of air filter enclosure and then take out the filter, blow some air and then re-fit it.

Cleaning interval depends on how dusty is your area of driving.

I've never cleaned earlier but since last few months I am cleaning once/twice every month and the difference in performance is quite noticeable.
