experts...
I am sure this is a common problem..
How do you guys deal with it. Before I switched to the bosch wiper blades, the damage was already done..
Now I think it is contributing to the glare while driving at night, Can any one help how to remove them.
Or, are there experts in bangalore who can do this.??
Thanks

hi DRC,
the scratches on the wind screen are sort of irrepairable. my dad once told me that we may have to change our screen for the esteem we have, coz the previous guy had been using a damaged wiper blade, but since we don't do much of traveling on that car, we didn't bother to change the screen.
but to the best of my knowledge, (and IMHO) there seems no way out except to change the wind screen, which would be safe if you do your driving at night!!! :(
have some way of polishing the scratcehs of. For small area even your tootpaste will do wonders. I used it once to remove the cemet water corrosion.
BTW for how much did u get the bosch wipers for. is it only the blade (rubber)or the whole steel assebly
Hi , The Scratches etc caused from worn out wiper blades can be removed without changing the windscreen , you need to contact
Windsheild Experts , they are present in most metros and am sure they are present in Bangalore as well...
Hope that helps !
Windsheild Experts are there next to Manipal Center. Dickenson Road.
do we have one in chennai???
Please let me know if there is...

After I posted this, I went to Windshield experts in fact.
They don't seem to be experts in removing scratches. They work on repair of chippings. or replacements. So no help there..
"BTW for how much did u get the bosch wipers for. is it only the blade (rubber)or the whole steel assebly"
I got them for 380 bucks. with steel frame... Funny part was, they did not have a 24" 18" combi pack, They removed 1 each from different pack to fix it.
Now the noise is gone.. but by that time damamge had already been done
Mods, Can you please merge this thread with the one Pranil indicated..
go to a glass workshop(where they sell and cut glass) and tell them to do a soft buffing on ur winshield.they remove minor scratches on watch glass in this way.maybe it can work for u.first try it on a small area though.
While I was putting sun film on my wind screen, the accessory guy ("fast Car") advised me to go to JC road to people dealing with glass workshops or new gasses to remove the wiper scratches and the scratches caused by dry paper (during washing). I haven't tried yet.. will give it a try sometime. It's possible but probably depends on the amount of scratch.

I believe rather than going to a glass shop, you could get one of those do-it-yourself scratch removal liquids. I don't know how effective they're but then you don't risk the glass guy spoiling your paintwork in the process with some corrosive liquid.
they dont use liquids.glass workshops use soft buffing pads fitted on buffing machines to remove scratches.
And a DIY scratch remover for glass does not exist.it is only for removing scratches on paints.
mmm ... I need to go out and find a guy who can do that...
Thanks.. This weekend JC road..
Other hand, I am thinking, why not buy that tool.. Wonder if bosch sells it..
