NGK spark plugs. normal or G-Power?

Hello all,

My Alto is due for major service. Asked my MASS and was told they put Champion spark plugs. So went to the local NGK distributor in Sec28 Chandigarh to get NGK plugs. The dealer gave two options:

1) normal DCPR7E plugs that were Imported- Oct 2010 and MRP: 97, selling for Rs. 90 each
2) G-power (not Iridium) DCPR7EGP Imported- Aug 2008 MRP: 200, selling for Rs. 175 each

The dealer was pushing Gpower a lot. I am willing to spend the little extra IF it better than normal plugs. Also the Gpower is old and am somewhat doubtful the dealer wants to get rid of it. The difference is in the electrode. The normal is carbon rod and the Gpower is metallic like a Pilot Pen's Tip.

Need advice on whether Gpower is good and if its okay to buy old stock?
