True, it's the most economic. The option for revised springs and shocks would have been expensive and required significant research and I do not have the bandwidth for it right now. Also my Alto has run 70k kms hence wanted something simple and economical. So spacers it is. Overall happy with the work done for now. I shall be visiting Pune the coming week and shall check the handling at the rear.

Regarding the performance, well I have installed the TAP (advancer) which advances timing to improve power since CNG is slower to burn. With that, there is not a substantial power loss. ...........................................
What has your relative done to mitigate the rear of the Alto sagging down post CNG conversion? Can you ask him and update me? Also any best practices from him on running his Alto? Please do share them
My relative has not done anything for the sagging rear after CNG conversion. He has not faced any 'rear bottom out' issues till now, probably because rear seats are mostly occupied by his 2 kids (less than 6 years old).

At times when I visit him, I fill tank-full petrol and use for 2 weeks. I have noticed that petrol mileage has come down, probably because the car has been tuned for CNG.

Re: Suspension issues in Maruti Alto - need solutions

HI Everyone

Good Day
I own a 2012 Maruti Alto lxi with 33000 kms on the odometer. Of late i had been expeiencing lots of thud sounds and there is also vibration in the dasboard asif the jert is transferred inside. on highway the vehicle keeps rocking from behind like a boat. when i had my authorised service station review it they said the suspension and the lower arm needed replacement. They gave an estimate of 12 k only for the lower arm replacement.
Now i am thinking my power stering was also not working had some issues with the torque sensor . would that be responsible for the suspensions going kaput?

Request help from experts please.

Regards
