@Pancham - What blower speed are you talking about? (the bars that you see on the display)

How does the central locking works in i20 when you're driving? The co-passenger can indeed open the door even when I've locked it from the driver's side. Have not tried it from the rear doors though.

Re: My 2010 BS4 i20 Sportz - Initial experience

Is there anything special to be done during the 3rd service. I don't have the rattling issue as yet as I've not driven much. I'm not going to request them to change anything as that may introduce the rattle! The car's VIN does fall in the batch that wildon has mentioned in one of his posts.

SInce the engile oil was changed during the 2nd service, I am not sure whether it needs to be changed again. I guess the engine filter would be changed isn't it?

Re: My 2010 BS4 i20 Sportz - Initial experience

Done the 3rd service. Asked the service advisor not the change the oil as it was changed during the 2nd service by the previous owner. He ended up not changing anything as per his claim. He cleaned the air filter.

I noticed a strange thing though. Prior to service, the gear shift indicator used to show upshifts at exactly 2000 rpm but now it's started showing the same around 1850-1900 rpm itself. Is it possible that they might have changed anything at all? What is the normal upshift/downshift rpm range for a i20 Petrol?

Re: My 2010 BS4 i20 Sportz - Initial experience

I think the gear shift indicator indicates the the gear shift depending on the strain on the engine too. Sometimes in my i20, during an uphill it suggests a shift at around 2200-2300rpm, & sometimes during a downhill indicator lights up at 1850-1950 rpm. So, this must be something to do with the ease with which the engine is pulling.
