The black looks very nice on the civic. Yes, some interior pics would be great.
I went on a drive to Mailam and back. Onward journey was on NH45 and the return journey through pondicherry via ECR. I didn't actually try to push the car to its limits but somehow it went to 140kmph (lol). It was perfectly stable and the biggest problem I found was not really realizing the speed at which I was going.

Please do update about your upgrades. Mileage figure would be helpful with Tankful method.
Enjoy the Ride, Drive Safely.
No upgrades as of now but I am planning to get a caska later on. As per the inbuilt meter, I get around 8-9 km/l. I drive on 100 feet road in b2b traffic - so this is expected. When I went on the long drive mentioned above, I got the unbelievable economy of 18 km/l.

Yup, I love the black but maintaining it is a pain. I plan to get it detailed every 6 months. Haven't done so far though.

Exactly the same reason I chose the Civic.

Not sure, but maybe the V got the new design?

No, never come at that conclusion. Your Civic is a stunner man! I love your car so much that I was looking for only a white Civic at first. Later, realizing that its not practical, I let go of that decision and finally ended up with a Bluish Silver one. Not that I am not happy, but still.

Re: The Night Fury is here - My Black Honda Civic!

So, I may be traveling for 6-8 months outside India starting January next year. There will be no one to use the car here.

Does it make sense to keep the car or sell it off? What are pros/cons of each of the above decisions?

Thanks in Advance.

If it is 6-8 months, I think it makes sense to keep the car. 6-8 months passes off before you realize it and when you come back you will need the car. And do you really want through the buying process again, specially when you have taken so much effort to trace and take care of this beauty.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, dot!.

Are there anything I should watch out for? For eg: I will be disconnecting the battery etc. But is there any part or component that is likely to get damaged due to lack of use. Also, will a cover be enough to protect the civic from the weather?

Re: The Night Fury is here - My Black Honda Civic!

I would also suggest you not to sell the car! 6 months is not such a long time period, and you would be losing a lot of money in the initial depreciation.

Please go through the following thread for long-term-parking instructions-

Re: The Night Fury is here - My Black Honda Civic!

It makes no sense in selling the brand new car just because you will be abroad for 6-8 months.
Even I travel abroad for 4-5 months in a year and I have never faced any issue with my ANHC.
Your Civic in black looks smashing.

Yes, battery disconnection is a must. A cover should be enough to protect from elements. How is your parking situation, is it outside or covered or basement?

You can check this thread, it may have some useful tips.

A big No! Do not sell your car if your trip is going to be only for 6 to 8 months. Apart from going through the full process of buying a new car once you come back, you also stand to lose big time in depreciation. And adding the costs of a new car into the equation, you will spend much more money by selling it. As stated above, please go through the thread for Long-Term Parking and follow those procedures. The car should be perfectly fine.
