Re: Wheels of Fortune : 2012 Toyota Fortuner 4x4. First on Team-BHP

Congratulations for the new tank

Awesome Pics. The one in the sand with the kids is great.

Its a tough SUV that is built to last. The thule carrier looks great.

Will keep an eye out on this thread for ownership running updates.

This is a cool looking DRL. Is this available for everycar or only for this Monster?

Firstly congratulations on a super purchase. Must say that the Fortuner in white does look quite magnificient - apart from the black.
May you have a great time with the vehicle.

Congratulations on your new ride Kedar !

Was the FITT DRL and the double din kit sourced locally or were they purchased from the internet.

Would appreciate if you could share the prices of the same as well.

Ahmed Siddiqui

Congratulations on the new beast man. Really nice pics uploaded by you. Specially the shivji one looks like a calander one. Beautiful!

Just wanted to know what tyre pressure are you using in psi?

Re: Wheels of Fortune : 2012 Toyota Fortuner 4x4. First on Team-BHP

Just thought of removing the Thule carrier, and it took only 10 minutes to remove it.The beast looks more elegant without the carrier.I will put it back when I am travelling to Goa next month.
In 2 months not a single niggle or error message.
My new XUV had more than 10 errors in the first month.
"In Toyota we trust"

Will upload some night shots later.

Hi ,

Congratulation for your new acquisition, and the best part is it's again the first one on team-bhp. Where is this Shviji Place located, nice & long statue of Lord Shiva.

cheers!

Where do you exactly live in Bombay? I stay in Andheri - E and the Fortuner mostly in Kandiwali. I also wanted to say, the DRLs do looks real nice but I felt they were tad over priced. Also hope you do a bit more off roading than just sand driving.
Also one last question on which date did you get your car, because I think I saw just 1 more White Fortuner when I had gotten mine. It might have been yours I think.

Hi, dont want to be a killjoy but its not reccomended to drive near the salt water. from4x4abc.com

Stay at least ten feet away from the waterline. NEVER drive in the water. Rust will render your vehicle useless in a few days. Soft, wet sand close to the waterline could swallow your vehicle.

I will not show you pictures of these incidents. Believe me - they happen very frequently. TV commercials spread the message that it is fun to drive in the shallow ocean water. And I totally agree - its great fun! What they don’t tell you is that they throw the vehicle away when they are done filming.

Avoid also driving fast on wet sand. Drive slowly. At speed salty sand would be thrown all over your undercarriage and will cause severe rust even after you rinse the undercarriage with fresh water.

Needless to say on the beach you drive at your own risk.
