I myself bought a 2013 toyota fortuner this January. Have completed 2500kms and I consistently get 13 kmpl on the highway and 11kmpl in the city. My vehicle is still in stock condition. Would love to know what all accessories have you put or are planning to put? Also i wanted to know that do you really feel 3M Car care treatment is essential for the fortuner? I think if it was necessary than toyota would have done it at the factory or dealership level itself before delivering the vehicle.

First of all, a hearty congrats & welcome to the group. From the figures mentioned, it looks like you have a 4*2.

Regarding the accessories I have put, you can refer the page-1 of this post. I'm still in search of a window visor, fender mirror and a side body cladding in addition [preferably not the ones sold by Toyota since they are quite common]

Regarding the 3M car treatment, Toyota does not offer the under body coating as stock. The Paint Sealent program was done after 6 months, mainly because of 2 reasons.

> The vehicle is parked near the roadside.
> The paint quality of Toyota, especially on the Fortuner is quite thin that even you nails can peel of the paint pretty easily & I have already got 3 marks :)

My vehicle is a 4*4. I usually drive with a light foot taking care not revving the engine beyond 2500rpm so that may be the reason for the better FE. The car gives the best FE b/w 60-80 kmph in fifth gear. Beyond 110 the FE reduces drastically. I always get below 10 on the Yamuna Expressway cruising at 130.:uncontrol

Regarding 3M treatment how much did the full treatment cost? I have a Pearl White Mica fortuner and love the way it looks stock. So would like to know if that will result in any loss of shine?

The figures sound quite good to me. In Bangalore, the traffic is pretty bad and the figures I get are around 10.57 in city & around 12-13 on highways.

Please have a check with your nearest 3M dealer based on their reputation etc first and ask their opinion as well. The charges for the 3M treatment done were as follows.

Anti Corrosion Treatment [5 yr warranty with 10 inspections] - 3785/-
Paint Sealent-Essential-Large - 4385/-

There is a monsoon offer of Rs 1124/- when both these are done together at 3M .[Total cost Rs 7046/-]

Hi Bibin,

Welcome back(assuming you are back in India).

Would need some detailed interior pictures from your Note camera at the earliest.

Congratulations BIBIN004 for the fantastic acquisition albeit a little late in the day. Keep updating.

Congratulations ToyotaFan for the 4x4. Toyota ASC's use all 3M products though a full 3M treatment at their centre is not essential for a well built vehicle like the Fortuner, though shining it up is always appreciated. Also there is NO 3M Car Care Centre in Delhi/NCR.

BTW, where are you in Meerut? Do meet sometimes...

Hi Bibin,

Hmm..there seems to be an camera upgrade at your end! The one you picked up is a good one!

Happy clicking!! Looking forward to the awesome pictures.

After a while here we go with some more snaps from my last few trips.

Hi Bibin,

Thanks for the pictures. Are these taken using your new camera?

The SUV looks great in its natural elements.

You are welcome. All except the last one, but I had to reduce the quality since the upload limit is 1 Mb.

True , Simply luv the looks.:)

A change in the number style.

Looks handsome!

RTAs in Karnataka and Kerala have no objections to the non-standard fonts on the license plates?

In Hyd, you would most probably be pulled by all varities of Cops for such plates(only offlate!).lol:

Just saw a Fortuner with the TRD Kits near to my place. Thought it would be worth sharing some snaps on the same.
