Yes Surya, It's detachable. Need to start going through the owner's manual. The review for the system is pretty good and need to explore the same.

That is good, will keep it safe from workshop floors.

Do let us know the details and your observations for us to consider in the future.

Congratulations on the wonderful car !
I have some queries related to the head-unit:
Does the head unit support navigation and the rear view camera ?
Are the steering controls working?

Well, there is something named APP Radio wherein you can connect your phone and make apps work, navigation being one of them, could not see any app for navigation inbuilt.

Yes the HU supports rear view camera.

Well to be frank, the adapter fixed [Connects2] supports all controls except the telephone controls, so mostly might have to change the adapter to Axxess/PAC.

Will keep the thread updated on this

Big B was taken for it's 10,000 km service yesterday. The key updates are as follows:

Engine Oil change & Filter change
Air filter cleaning...
Brake cleaning
Washer fluid filling
Propeller Shaft greasing
Car Wash

The gear shift is feeling a little more smooth now & the handbrakes have been adjusted so that a slight lift is sufficient.

Total cost :-2574/-

Update on the Steering wheel Interface adapter issue wherein the telephone controls were not working.

The adapter has been updated from Connects2 to AXXESS ASWC-1 and everything is working perfectly fine now, costed an additional 1300 /-compared to the previous one [3500/-] .

Had some good glimpses this time as well in Nandi. Allowing the pics speak.

The white elephant looks good. Any plans of getting the TRD kit ? How much do they charge for it anyway?

Many thanks Ravi. No plans of getting the TRD kit in near future. Think it costs somewhere around 40-60K or so.

Bibin,

Have you not felt the need to add a rear bumper guard( full steel or aluminium one)to protect the car from pesky riders?

I am looking at options now, knowing pretty well that to kills the looks!!

No Surya,
Fingers crossed, I'm ok with the bumper to be as it is without a guard. Sorry, Can't tolerate the looks :deadhorse

Windscreen Decal added - Custom made style quotient

Looks cool! Cost and effort timing please?

Cost :- Rs 350/-
Duration :- 2 hours
Location :- A very small shop in Bangalore [Creative Sticker works, opposite to Sachin's Auto Shop, Koramangala]
Width :- 22 in (each)
Height :- 3.5 in

Make :- Custom made decal from various images obtained from Internet

The sticker has been stuck from inside since the letters are thin and sticking it outside would peel off the letters on wiper usage.

Well Sameer,I agree with the fact that the stock headunit is a decent one and suits the basic needs. However it had it's own limitations and I wanted a more powerful head unit which could pave way for my future upgrades.

The current one Pioneer AVH-X8590 is a very powerful system and there is a visible difference in the output when played with the stock speakers. The volume with level 8 itself is very loud n clear when compared to the stock headunit where I had to keep it in 15-20 or so.

Some of my views have been shared in the post mentioned below
