I did TD yesterday and had the same set of feedback on the quality levels (or the lack of it) that you have mentioned - I actually came looking for reviews to see how mine stacked up.

Congrats on the car. The city is a great car over the years, but this generation isn't completely niggle free.

The saving grace is that it's backed by good ASS.

Haven't heard of this gear lever vibrating from anyone before.

Since you're complaining so much about the alloys, why didn't you buy the SV and change the alloys?
