Volvo Sold Out Of Its New Polestar Engineered S60 In 39 Minutes :)

The 415-horsepower sedan is limited to just 20 examples in the U.S.

Just 39 minutes after announcing pricing details and a limited production run of just 20 examples in the U.S., the S60 Polestar Engineered sold out on Volvo’s Care by Volvo app. Each car – which will cost $1,100 per month – was reserved via a $500 deposit, and should be delivered to their very fortunate new owners sometime in 2019.

Too heavy, too expensive, and too limited. And of course, its sold out because some people just have too much money.

Hello fellow bhpains,

I'm looking for a Used S60 Polestar with under 20k odometer reading and at a decent price.

Did you find one? There are *two* at Big Boys Toyz!

Thanks for sharing.
I did enquire at BBT for both those S60, found their quote a bit high.
Have dropped the plan for now.

Now they seems to have 3! Given the limited number of models sold, makes me think if there is any hidden issue with servicing/maintenance cost or reliability?

Well, they had 4, one got sold. They've reduced the price to 29L for all 3.

It isn't so much maintenance/servicing, these cars are solid but at that price they are strictly for the enthusiast. The interiors and tech leave a lot to be desired, and there is no dynamic damping either. I test drove one, and while the performance is *mind blowing*, the rest of the car isn't a match for what you get in 2021. Still for 29L, a 4-5 year old performance car made for the track that does 0-100 in 4.8s is a great deal...that is IF you are enthusiast.

Hi,
I have the Volvo S60 Polestar 2017 rebel blue with the 362hp engine, I absolutely love it.
Living in India I am faced with certain roads that are not so good. The result is even at speeds well with in speed limits, I have had to change my tires 3 times in One year, as a small bump results in a bubble on the side wall, not to mention having to keep a constant check on my rims for bending or dents.

original tires:- 245/35zr20 original rim:- 8jx20 ET55

I have tried multiple 18" rims, either the front wheels don't fit due to the large brake size or the tires protrude outwards from the side. The original 20" have an offset of 55et most of these 18" are between 17 and 38 ET.

Someone in Sweden who has an instagram account had told me that he had down sized his wheels to 18", with a brand Koenig Ampliforms 8.5x18 ET43 . His aim was to get bigger side walls. I cant get ampliforms in India.

A dealer has got in touch with me and offering me Momo Revenge, which he feels will fit on the polestar and will be better than the ampliforms.
Momo revenge :- 8jx18 ET 45
tires :- 245/45 18 or 235/45 18
1. Any suggestions if the car will be fine with smaller rims, the car does go fast but i doubt i will take above 150 km/hr too often.

What tires would best serve the purpose of a smoother ride with less tire damage , the 245/45 or the 235/45?

Thanks

I'm upgrading from my Jetta highline. I am not a new car guy. I am looking at between a Polestar and a BMW 525d. What's the best price I can quote for a Polestar in Bangalore? I'm leaning towards Polestar sure to the explosive performance and exclusivity. Any other options with a budget of less than 30 lakh?

I know that is an old thread but I have an important question. How many keys came with the 2017 S60 Polestar ?
