New love! OHC type 2

All,
IT all started with a fine gesture of enrolling my wife at maruti driving school here. I used to drop her and pick her back after an hour of so of class. One saturday i stayed back at the school to get the classes over.
Scrolled casually through the classifieds of DC. Hit and ad of OHC 2002 model 1.5Exi. Rest of the ad looked as usual like showroom condition blah blah. The thing which caught my attention was it has run only 10k kms.
That was unbeleivable.

Rang up the owner. Scheduled a visit. Finished breakfast, headed to see the vehichle. Vehichle indeed was in good condtion. Scraches due to kids playing near by always. Was ok with it. The odo showed 10,9xx kms. Still didn't beleive it. Checked the tyres. They didn't show that much of use though. So started to beleive. Took some tips from Insane Devil over the phone (thanks to him). Drove it. and i loved it.
Then i asked the final price. 4.7 laks. I agreed that i will pay that if the odo reading is true.

Took the vehichle to Sundaram. They refused to give the service history to a forerigner!! The owner took the vehichle to Sundaram and they inspected the service records and confirmed the mileage. And they told three parts door and side fender repainted due to some dents. Didn't claim insurance.

Confirmed with isurance that no claims have been done. So happy. Agreed to pay. Started with SBI and ended up with ICICI to get a loan. ICICI was superfast. Put on hold due to holiday in Goa for one week. The owner was kind enough and was not in a hurry to sell it off.
Paid check yesterday and took delivery. And i am very happy.

Thanks to all the tips and tricks here! Special thanks to Insane devil. Have to get Enkei alloys some time later!

Few pics using mobile. More pics later.

Thanks to all there!
this is not a VTEC although i started searching with VTEC head. None was available for couple of months. I closed in this deal due to the low mileage and well maintained car. Sadly though, one man rang me up with VTEC offer after i closed on this deal. I am really happy with my OHC. Puts a smile the moment i turn the ignition on! I just love the looks. Hope spares are available when necessary. Planning to do some turtle wax polishing etc when i get time to make it more shiny and a mag wheel when funds are replenished!!
i loved the white VTEC there in another thread here. Lucky guy there!
Is 1.5 Exi the only model in the OHC variants having slight beigish interior?

Congrats on joining the OHC club & as far as I can see you're already in love with her!! I'm the owner of an OHC VTEC so know what you're talking about! Have fun driving the car.

Yes the 1.5 was the only model having Beige interiors with a Wooden Gearknob. Also spares for the OHC are easily available and are not a problem to find at all.

I have same interiors in my car bought just over a month ago. Our cars look exactly the same difference being mine is an AT. Even my AT gear knob has the H embossed in gold on it.
