Try changing the cable that you use to connect to the HU. Use a different one and try again.

I used to face the same issue with my OnePlus 3T + stock USB type-c cable. Android auto screen used to freeze, sometimes not connect at all and freeze after 10-15 minutes usage.

Purchased a type-c cable from Amazon.in and from then on no issues at all.

Both features of DTE and speed sensing auto door lock are available in facelift versions of diesel and petrol.
Prelift version however were missing these features!

Its a pity isn't it for Hyundai to get so many great features correctly and at the right (slightly higher) price point, but they miss such simple sounding things which could not have cost not much more - I mean Ford Figo, at almost three time less cost has it (Sorry my previous car as the Figo and I loved that small feature. That includes the DTE gauge.

Though, the diesel is worth the premium. I've driven it, and based on my observations, an average joe would confuse the diesel with petrol. Such are the amazing levels of refinement. There is just a faint purr that is audible with windows down, AC off. I purchased the petrol because I start my ride only twice or thrice a month and some budget constraints.

Re: 2018 Hyundai Creta Facelift : Official Review

Hi.. Any creta owners feeling the vibrations on the ABC pedals as mentioned in the test drive report?

I drove one few months ago and could not notice any such thing.

I sold my old car and confused as what to buy next.
Rapid AT
Verna
Creta

All diesels. Given the condition of our roads a low slung sedan may not be a right choice IMHO.

The rear of the old creta looked much better than the nw ones, in photos as well as in flesh. The rear of the new creta is not that better for my eyes.

Yes, I feel the vibrations while driving the car at low RPMs, however when the speed picks up, I don’t feel it as much. Also, the car idles at around 900 RPM in the morning, (I left the engine running for a good 20 minutes to find out, haha) and then after driving it around for a while, the car settles to 750-800 RPM, which I found weird (Maybe it’s because of the altitude I live in - Hill Station).

Re: 2018 Hyundai Creta Facelift : Official Review

The waiting period of the Creta here in Coimbatore is 20 to 25 days!
Few clarifications:

1. Is it advisable to book it now and take in December? Or Hyundai will come up with some year end discounts for Creta in December?
2. Or should I wait for 2019 Jan to book the car so that I can get a 2019 car?
3. Any owners got discounts or freebies while buying Creta?

Please advise. I am looking forward to buy a Red/Black SX(O) D variant.

My answers point wise:

1. Booking in December should bring you some benefits for sure from Hyundai's end in form of year end offers. Also, if you can stretch it to the last week, you may squeeze a bit more from the dealer (monthly targets)

2. 2018 or 2019, depends on your preference. A 2019 car will fetch a tad more 4-5 years down the line if you plan to sell it. In case you want to keep the car (I like to keep my cars for long), say 10 years, then I would say pocket the offers of year end.

3. May be Creta owners can pitch in & help you better on this.

Regards,
Saket.

1. Most of the manufacturers will definitely come out with offers/discounts but doubt whether they will do with the Creta since it's doing well. The least you could do is ask for some free accessories.

2. 2019 car sounds better than 2018 model when you are selling the car. But if you plan to keep the car for long and can't wait long for the delivery, get the 2018 model.

3. I didn't get any discounts/accessories (not even mud flaps, floor mats) when I got the car since I got the first batch. But like I said, try for some free accessories like mud flaps, floor mats etc. Also don't opt for the inhouse insurance.

I got a quote from the near by dealer.
The OTR as per the quote is:
1863522 INR

They are offering 15k cash discount and 10k discount on Insurance.
Do I need to opt for extended warranty, which is ~13k
Also, not sure what accessories they are charging for ~3k.
What accessories fully loaded SX(O) needs? Please confirm. Thanks!

Insurance amount is too high. Check from outside how much it costs. 86K sounds too much.

It might be floor mats, perfume, any idol etc. Ask the sales person what all is included in 3k.

Wow. That's almost 3L more in 3 years. Surprised to see that they are offering discounts. Get the 15k cash deposit and use it purchase extended warranty. Trust me, it will be useful. 86k for insurance is daylight robbery. I haven't paid more than 25k for insurance all these years.

Like Batish pointed out, ask the SA to list out the accessories. It should be floor mats, mud flaps. Highly doubt you will get idol, perfume etc (I got the perfume for free IIRC). Also, the default floor mat that they provide is those useless rubber mats. AFAIK, Creta gets those velvet/soft type mats. Do ask them to give this in case that "accessory" charge can't be waived off.

I got an offer of 42k for 1 Yr comprehensive and 3 year TP policy from policy bazaar (New India Assurance), which still I believe is more

I will check with the sales person if I can waive off the accessories amount (I guess I should be).
