In that case, looks like you're in the market for a Porsche. I know it's hard to find but maybe a well kept Nissan 370Z? There's a Yellow Boxster with low miles on sale in Nashik on teambhp, last I read. |
Aah, you mean using the gear knob to shift gears? That is also an option but I prefer to use the paddles. I'm not a big fan of convertibles since its usually heavier than the coupe model and I don't see myself popping the roof open ever, so it just becomes an expensive potential point of failure. Hence looking strictly for the Cayman. Quote:

There can be many reasons to replace this car but MT shouldn't be one. Don't mean to offend anyone but modern sporty ATs have come a long way and take nothing away from, in fact enhance, an engaging drive. Those who disagree may not have experienced modern sporty ATs at their full potential. Modern MTs already offer automatic rev matching and few other tricks taking away the need to do anything overly skilled.
Get MT if you want exclusivity, future classic, longevity, reliable, cheaper to own/repair, etc. There is a lot of outdated info on MT vs AT from tiptronic days. |
Sir I fortunately do understand what you mean and have used the car in proper Manual mode, where you slot the gear shifter to the left and it displays the gears as M1 etc. I have understood the complete potential and intricacies of the car over the past year but still somehow my heart is still not in it and who can explain the actions of the heart?
I also own a GT TSI 1.2 which will be staying with me for the forseeable future so I've actually owned and used a DSG for a while and understand it quite well. It is truly a great gearbox and the imperceptible lightning quick shifts are nothing to be sneezed at.
But if I was alone in wanting a manual over even the greatest of dual clutch gearboxes then the manual 992 GT3 wouldn't exist in competition to the PDK 992 GT3
I don't care much for exclusivity, future classic and they are what I consider to be the wrong reasons to buy an enthusiast car. A car being more reliable and cheaper to own is completely welcome though. Quote:

Its RWD, came with 6MT and its petite. |
The Porsche mid-engined twins aka the Boxster and the Cayman are equipped a flat-6 engine and the 981 gen Cayman with 6 speed manual is definitely on my radar. |
