Re: Useless cupholders | YATOR (Yet Another Thar Ownership Review)

Terrific Post couldn't stop laughing - one of the best car reviews. In the end, was it a good buy or only an emotional one?

Loved every word of your review, mate! Here's to millions of awesome memories on and off the road with your new steed!

Something does seem amiss with your AC blower - have it checked during your service please!

I got these seat mounted armrests for my Thar, however I am yet to find a reliable installer to install these here in Bangalore. It may be of interest to you too as this is the best armrest that you can install on Thar without losing the OEM look in my opinion.

You sir have an amazing style of narrating and keeping readers engaged. I enjoyed reading it.

I felt like There was frustration of missing out on the finnese of Jetta but at the same time satisfaction of owning a go anywhere machine which is drooled by a lot (including me). Keep writing and keep driving.

Thank you. There are a few people who have already expressed interest. May I keep you in mind if they pass?

Both It started out as an emotional buy (I have wanted one since I watched Aradhana in 1970 though I did not speak a word of Hindi) but it has turned out to be a good one as well. I just became lucky, that's all.

These look really perfect. Please do keep us posted on where and how you manage to get it installed and how happy you are with this. By the way, thse do not look like they will fold up and down - are they foldable?

Cheers

Regarding your armrest issue, check this out, you can ignore Other stuff but I liked their custom armrest, location (placement) as well as usability -
Thank you

I watched the video (thank you for the link); but I am afraid this does not suit my purpose either because it still does make it awkward to actually use the cup-holders confortably while driving; and it also makes it awkward to use the hand-brake.

Cheers

Congratulations for the new car! Absolute pleasure to read the posts - and related to the earlier discussions too. So you are a Mahindra customer now - welcome to the masochist's club (i honestly wish you a niggle free ownership but you know deep inside, that's never the case with a Mahindra!)

A nice photoshoot is in order - and a celebration too!

Wish you a many more happy (s)miles on this useless cupholder car!

Thanks Avi The way Mahindra treated you and your XUV gave me the confidence that they would do the same to their new flagship product.

Photoshoot can wait until the rest of the guys have received their Thars and you have received your new XUV

Cheers

Amazing review. Loved it. Perhaps we should have your thoughts in all reviews

Just to change things around a bit, I could sometimes walk around the back of the car instead of around the front. Need to make life interesting.
To keep things interesting, how about an umbrella with a J-handle /walking cane in the car, attached to the seat back and drawing it out like a sword or arrow from your quiver if you prefer. Unless, they've provided RR style (copied by Skoda!) umbrella in the door - please check.
Hockey Stick under the seat can serve this + another purpose, if you know what I mean.

Since its a Thar, maybe they test all vehicles off-road before delivery?

What an absolute slapstick this is and your review filled with many. I rolled and rolled over laughing. I love such sarcastic self deprecating anecdotes. They are so intelligent and intruiguing.
Loved your threads too bits.

Keep it up.
I too purchased an Scross zeta recently and loving it for sure. Enjoy the thar while it lasts. And it’s known to last.

Loved your write up. I think this is by far the most hilarious piece of content I have read in TBHP or elsewhere. I chuckled to most of the lines, LOL. Wishing you many happy kilometers!

Re: Useless cupholders | YATOR (Yet Another Thar Ownership Review)

Congratulations on your Thar, loved the hilarious and witty review. I wouldn't have taken time to read it if it was just another Thar review, so cheers for making my day.
It's unbelievable to note that your car was delivered with unbalanced wheels, that too with such astonishing errors.
Wish you many more happy kilometers, I'll be keeping an eye for your long term review of the same!

Re: Useless cupholders | YATOR (Yet Another Thar Ownership Review)

I was watching a youtube video of a base model Ford Bronco the other day. Thar looks like a wrangler but feels more like the Bronco overall.

However, what youtube did not and cannot show is the great writing style.

Cheers,
