I liked your presentation style of using sketches. They maybe rough, but it paints a nice visual of the events that transpired. Very unique, man.
Also, congrats on bringing home your new steed.
First thing, absolutely loved the sketches! The entire flow of events you have narrated is especially heartwarming. The exact emotions of how the earnest middle-class aspires to buy a vehicle.
Wish you a zillion miles ahead with this beast. Happy driving!
WOW, those sketches were beautiful along with your simple, yet gripping style of writing which kept me hooked. For a moment, I felt like I was back to reading comics like I used to do in my childhood. Congratulations on mile muncher Innova, this is one of the best UV Toyota offered and along with the AT gearbox, nothing can come close.
Looking forward to more updates from you, along with sketches.
For a change it was nice to go through the sketches in between the beautiful way you have written, I was totally immersed in the story and felt very involving.
As mentioned by Axe77 it is worth go through your thread on a leisurely moment with a good drink.
Wish you many a happy and safe driving adventures with your family.
Coincidentally, I just finished the process of getting my Aadhar card address updated today .
The sketches are the best part of the review though, enjoyed it! You’ve got the skills for sure.
Enjoy the new Innova.
Your sketches managed to steal limelight from mighty Innova. Absolutely loved your writeup. Its like you are reading some kind story in a children's book.
Congratulations for mighty Innova. Recently I tried to convince 2 of my close friends to consider Innova, but they ended up purchasing Tata Safari. Somehow cab image and current waiting period doesn't help my persuasion.
Despite all its taxi image, Innova is my dream car as well. Closest I came to buying was in early 2021 when a perfect condition showroom demo car (G AT) was available for 18 Lakh.
Kudos to your supportive spouse as well. I think she is the reason why you have Innova today. Recently I just jokingly sent a pretty amazing flight deal to my spouse and she managed to convince me that I should go for that solo trip. Shocked by response of my wife, I did book the flights. Later when I came to my senses I realized that I will end up spending almost 2 lakh in total but she said its ok.
BTW, I do not think you need local Aadhar address for registration. Recently I registered a car in BLR with Pune Aadhar address. I had rental agreement which I got from NoBroker.
Hearty congratulations, the Crysta Z AT is still one of the best you can get. It's sad that Toyota stopped providing ATs in the Crysta. Going forward, pretty sure Toyota would pull the plug on the Crysta some day.
Damn! your narration with those sketches is awesome, it kept me engaged till the end. I wish you had couple of more sketches of some scenarios. I almost felt like reading stories in Sudha, Tarang (Famous Kannada magazines) with similar illustrations. Congratulations for your purchase! I think yours this purchase will be very good on ROI down the lane.
Aamzing narration an sketches there!! Congratulations on your new Innova and wish you many many miles. Keep those narrations and sketches coming about your ownership and travelougues too.clap:
Congratulations on your new car. Liked the idea of sketches, they added a different charm to the story narrative.
Wish you many more miles of safe driving
This reads and feels like the Malgudi Days of a car review.
One to be enjoyed at leisure on a crisp winter afternoon, out in the garden, under the mellow sun. With a cup of coffee, and not a care in the world.
Serotonin for the soul.
Marvelous. The sketch visuals are a treat to read your buying experience in a lively manner. +1 to the call outs given by @brownkaiser "I felt that I was watching you both from my balcony while you were hanging the wet clothes".
Certainly you've raised the bar for BHPians and make our community sharing and replicating best practices. I went through similar purchasing journey at mental/financial level and my spouse and friends steered me to go for Crysta by taking my mind away from cost as the top deciding factor and made me to prioritize safety, comfort over it. Now, I've to take more time to "sketch" my 30k km experience!
Congratulations on your new Innova and wish you munch zillion miles on the most reliable beast.
Furthermore, how could I have forgotten to inform you about your sketches, dude? They are fantastic. I spent at least five minutes looking into each of your sketches. Those works of art tell the tale instead of words. You really do have a great storytelling ability.
I second, third and fourth with everyone who have been impressed by your sketches. Now, that is beautiful story telling. I sat back and read the entire thread and I have only one word - awesome! Wish you all the good luck with the new steed and happy driving!
Wonderful narration of telling your story about a car purchase, in a very artistic way. Those are amazing sketches.
A great choice you made in choosing Innova Crysta AT.
I am still waiting for the day Toyota relaunches Diesel AT, either in Crysta or Hycross models.
