Re: How the Honda Elevate rekindled an old flame!

Honda Elevate sold around 2000 nos. in June and 1300 in July despite being available off the shelf. Ever given a thought as to why people trend to avoid buying this and rather wait for a car from Suzuki, Hyundai or Toyota?

Re: How the Honda Elevate rekindled an old flame!

Hi,
Apologies for the back to back posts. My first post and I kind of messed up the quote in the above message.
I was referring to the hydro dripping treatment for some of the interior panels in the above post, and how much they would typically cost.

Re: How the Honda Elevate rekindled an old flame!

Very good point by point review of the lovely vehicle. Wishing you many years of safe driving filled with smiles.

I have currently a Honda Jazz and am unable to think beyond a Honda as a replacement vehicle. Not sure whether I will go for a new vehicle this year or next year. But mostly likely it will be Honda Elevate with Auto gear.

Re: How the Honda Elevate rekindled an old flame!

A wonderful review with a lot of emotion to it! You may not have gotten the girl, but you surely have owned some wonderful cars ever since.

Reading this review has put me in a bit of tussle — as somebody who will be considering a car around this segment rather soon, the Elevate now suddenly seems like a very appealing package — the familiar engine as we have a 2018 City and 2019 W-RV in the family, the reliability of a Honda and the spaciousness. I still however prefer the aesthetics of the Seltos and how feature rich the Koreans really are, but now it seems like the Japanese is rather reliable as far as cars go. I mean when the car discovery journey begins (I'll make a post in the "What car" thread).. I will have the same requirements as you except for the engine type.. any petrol with a good mileage which won't break down randomly works. Was considering the Virtus.. but the Volkswagen DNA means a maintenance nightmare (even though the secondary plant of Skoda-Volkswagen is a leisurely 30 minute drive from my place, and parts are generally better available in my city because of that).

Well too much rambling I guess... The car feels like the perfect family car which the enthusiast can revel in. Congratulations again!

Got the image from Pinterest, downloaded it onto a pen drive and set it on the infotainment system.

I have kept a packet in the glovebox too but this is extremely convenient if you need a wipe while driving.

I paid around Rs 15,000 for the hydro dipping of the central panel including the ac vents and the window switch panels on the four doors.

I agree with you. You have to own a Honda to truly appreciate the engineering that the brand offers.

I mean the final decision rests with my parents.
But the whole dilemma still arises about Elevate being "jack of all trades, master of none".. before one gets reminded that jack of all trades is better than the jack of none. Besides, our best experiences have been with Korean and their multiplicity of features — although I'm compelled to strongly consider the Elevate now.
