First car, First Dent and 3000KM report- i10

Hi All,
When I was in college my father had a maruti 800. Normally I used to fill 50/- rupees petrol and enjoy the driving of maruti. Then I shifted to Mumbai in 2000 and my father sold that car as he never liked driving.
After so many struggling years somehow I managed my career as a multimedia designer and settled down in Pune. Last Dec my parents came to meet us and I decided to give a surprise to them. So I booked my I10 and paid the cash to Sanjay Hyundai as they promised to deliver the car in two days. That time i10 has one month waiting time. Finally they give keys to my father and Hewas very happy to see my new car.

That’s the story of my i10 and here is my small review of i10 after 3000KM.

1.Getting good FE in Pune city 16/ semi AC. (Max.
2.Gears are very smooth but not better then spark.
3.Very effective AC but if four people are sitting then the car is sluggish with AC on.
4.Seats are very comfortable 3 people can fit very easily.
5.Slight bumpy ride on highway.
6.Sometime AC produces a weird smell. My car dealer told me that he will fix this problem in next servicing.

I am a designer so I was very choosy about seat covers. So picked up combination of two materials which suits to interior of i10 and got stitched from local car accessories shop. You can see this on my pics and the cost is only 3000/-.

In Maharashtra people says that if you have a scratch in your car, it’s good for you and for your car (coz you can’t be protected for long), so I haven’t repaired yet.

I am a amateur photographer ...Here is some pics of my i10…perfact 10

Thanks a lot wheeler. You actually made it easier for us all. I have used your cleaned up text to replace the garbage post.

Amit, in future please remember that if you wish to type a long message offline before putting it up here then do so in Notepad. Any other editor will always cause these problems.

Nice first impression Amit. And I loved your photography. Lovely selection of shots. Any plans of a tyre upgrade and alloys? What camera do you use ?

Hey, congratulations on your new car. But these days, 50/- won't take you far in your car.

Hmm...I'm sure your car has many positive points too...

Are you sure i10 can only seat 3, and not 5?

Which month was this that you booked the car and are you saying that
the dealer promised you delivery in 2 days and actually lived up to his commitments when there was a waiting period of one month!

Seats are very comfortable 3 people can fit very easily.

3 people in the back seat or 3 people in totality can comfortably fit in the car???

Nice review there, excellent photos taken. I am also considering a i10 for my mother & sister right now. Will probably be going for the Magna.

Very nice & neat ICE layout there.

Get Side Mouldings for your car.

Come on Amit. Dont be so modest. These pics are very good and ought to make it to the official brochure. Wonderfully shot and you've captured the curves and details very well.

Congrats on the new car and enjoy the i.

Drive safe.
