The storm is here.... (Purchased a San Storm!)

I came across this forum in november while searching for details on San Storm and became a member. No complaints but then 99% of the posts related to the car was full of bad reviews but I didnt lose heart and went on to strike a deal for the Storm.

I finally got my Storm, last week and must say, I am enjoying the stuff like hell. I usually drive a zen vxi , honda city exi and a santro xing, but the fun of open air driving is the ultimate thrill for me and Calcutta's weather aint too bad so I am having fun with my new toy.

Someone once compared the car's engine to that of a hair dryer's, but trust me,its cruising at 120 kph with ease.. Fantabulous..

Here is a video link ...

bye
Shahab

Congrats. Not sure if you are in Goa but its like the perfect car for Goa.

Tell us more about the buying experience, the dealership suppot and the ownership experience.

I feel we should look at a San just we we look at CJ340 for instance. It may have issues with fit and finish etc etc....but it offers that something special that nobody else does.

now you're a rider!

Congrats on the new car - looks nice and shiny in the pictures.

The interiors could do with a huge improvement though.

One bit thats bugging me (more than others) - The steering wheel; is it upside down?

Sorry to ask, but is this an used car ? The seats (leather?) and the dash look to bad to be new.

Anyways congrats on the new ride, and keep updating us

Thanks brothers. This is not a brand new car.It has run 8000 odd kms but then I have bought it from a dealer in Kanpur, who was using this one as a test drive car basically. So,its kinda semi-new and I am the registered first hand owner at Goa .I am in Calcutta and the weather here isnt too bad. The steering wheel is alright. Its just that the wheels were kinda tilted towards the right when the picture was taken.

[COLOR=black]Overall, I am loving the car Yet to get a West Bengal Registration though

Posting a picture which I clicked when I took the car for a wash...

Congratulations Shahab, I hope you are planning to get it registered in WB before the police try their tricks. Have fun with your new car.

GA vehicle in WB? Isn't the San Storm available in Calcutta or am I missing something? Nice vehicle. I wish it was less expensive . Yes, the interiors don't match the newer cars, but the joy of open air driving beats the small shortcomings. I had once seen a yellow one on road here. Actually loved it!

I bought the car from a dealer in Kanpur who has a dealership of san storm ..This was a test drive car hence,unregistered..It has done 8200 kms so I grabbed it cuz it looks brand new....I even went to kanpur for a day to test drive and then again sent my driver twice for final testing..The dealer is now planning to make his showroom into an all-brand car shop ,so this was more of a stock clearance..

I have replaced dthe original bulbs with the xenon diamond bulbs ..I went for a decent music system with two 6 " speakers..Xplode was boring and I saw Worldtech (bangkok made) system which was producing awesome sound and also had memory card and usb slot,so I took that..

Honestly, this car is a gift from my sister because I managed to become a lawyer last year

Congratulations. Looks cool. Why don't you give the interiors a good wash/treatment? What about service? IIRC, Austin Distributors and Bothra Ford were the dealers here.

Mate, that's a cool car you have got yourself, how much did it cost you and what's it like living with it on a day to day basis. The car looks fantastic, enjoy the ride and keep us all updated on the ownership experience.
