Silver Swift Diesel

After 3 months of waiting,I got my swift Diesel on the 11th of november,2009.
I got my car from Indus motors,Kottayam.

Initially, i changed my tyres from 165/80 R14 to Bridgestone potenza 205/60 R14. The tyres cost me Rs.20000 for a set of five and Rs 4500 was given back to me for the old tyres.I got Gareware tint to be applied to the windows which was charged Rs 1200.

Run in Period
Well the run in period was exactly a week. I was so excited to drive the swift that i went from one part of kerala to another and completed my 1000kms in a week.Though i had completed 1000 kms fast,I was very careful while driving it.I never used to give the engine any strain. 2000-2500rpm was my limit as i felt the turbo also need to be working.

1st Service

The first service was carried out at Indus motors,Kottayam. They charged me 850Rs for the oil change. After the first service was done,I was a bit careful in driving again because I wanted the detergent properties of the oil to be gone.

After a week, I got Plati PY517 14inch alloys. They cost me roughly Rs.15500 for a set of 4. New Roots vibrasonic was fitted behind the bumper as i felt the stock horns werent powerful enough. Then changed the headlight bulbs into 135/100W Philips rally bulbs with new relay. Got the Xenos 4 button mirror sensor fitted.

I wanted to badly change my stock filter into the K&N or green cotton stock filter but was greatly confused. I contacted Jerry(jerish666) and he was very much helpful in explaining to me everything in detail. I even had a look at his ford beast(sorry off topic) . And i got green cotton stock filter installed and now i feel the car's throttle response has improved. Thanks to jerish.

Now for the ICE i just installed 4 polk momo component speakers and im waiting for the headunit for my dad to bring from dubai.

Having completed 3046 kms now i still have a smile on my face whenever the turbo kicks.

The Alloys look great. One more thing that i noticed is that the tyres have the Bridgestone name in it with big bold letters. This gives the tyres and the car a macho look and feel. Feels macho like certain SUV with large KUMHO tyres
