I dropped the idea of ading the auto window roll got the spoiler added instead of that.

@noidaboy - I don't think it will void the warrant, since it requires adding a relay to the central locking/power window unit.

OT : you could have kept the jbl 607 for i10. just a thought.
Didn't liked the bright chan-chan sound of 607, so thought of adding to my taste.

I was looking for a hatch as a replacement to the 5 year old Maruti Alto Lxi. The new hatch is required to serve the city (90%) and highway (10%). Since i was tired of the cramped space at rear in the Alto, want to have a spacious machine this time.
Options i considered were - Maruti A-star, Maruti Swift (P) and Hyundai i10. Budget was 4.5 L at the max. Ruled out Maruti A-star due to looks, rear space, less visibilty from rear window (seems to be suffocating), higher cost.
Swift - Mom didn't liked the looks, rear & boot less, heard about rattles in swift. i10 was the new kid on the block, didn't want to go for biege interiors but no option, rear seat space is decent with good thigh support, compact exteriors (compared to swift), good handling.
So opted for i10 kappa Magna. Colours i liked initially were - White, Oyster Grey, Black, Red. Ruled out the dark colours, since the scratches are more visible and considering the road & traffic conditions, it's unavoidable in our city. So opted for Crystal White.

Sold the Alto Lxi (Black) - 47k kms. 2003 model = Rs. 1.25 L
i10 Magna (kappa) White, ex-showroom = Rs. 4.01 L
Insurance = Free
Registration = Rs. 12k
Exchange Bonus = Rs. 10K
Accessories = Teflon coating (Wings), Central locking

Didn't get the central locking, since didn't like the central locking they were offering. Now have the following choices to go for instead of central locking -
1) Anti-rust + Body Cover
2) Spoiler + Body Cover
3) Fog Lamps ( The guy at dealership quoted Rs. 5.5k for the fog lamps)

I am considering the option 2 at this time, will finalise in a day or two.

Got the delivery of the car today. Done the PDI. All OK. ODO - 10km.

Got the following accessories outside -
Central Locking - Croswheels - Rs. 3.5k
Auto-cop Auto Windows roll-up - Rs. 1.5k
Mud Flaps - Rs. 250
Carpets - Rs. 800
Steering Cover - Black leather

ICE setup will follow in the next week probably.

Loads of space all-around. The initial drive was quite impressive. Tilt steering is a good option for Magna. Power steering response was not so impressive, found it little on heavier side. Remote boot-lid is a great miss in the variant. Atleast this basic feature should be there.
Will update the thread as the driving experience will mature with the i10.
Please forgive me if i sound stupid but may i know what is
Auto-cop Auto Windows roll-up - Rs. 1.5k

& is it compatible with XING

Dude ...

White color looks simply superb .. I opted for a Electric Red i10 Sportz 2 months back and have a couple of scratches on the bumper and yes its more prominant in the red color.

Regarding the FE part ... I am constantly getting 12-13 in Bangalore city driving with 60% AC. My ODO is reading 17XX now. Hope it will improve a bit after the 2nd servicing.

Happy driving ...

Auto Window roll up is basically a relay which is added to the existing central locking of the car. Whenever you lock your car through remote of the central locking, if any of the window glass is down, then first it will automatically roll up the windows and will then lock your car.
