Hari, not fair, you didnt even call me to check out the ride. I missed a great of sitting in Porsche (which till date I only drove in NFS).

How come 16.5K km in a month? Where did he go?

Abhi

Abhi, just hold on to your horses, we should be having a Hockey Association meet soon enough.

Dunno about where he went, but the car has been regularly burning tarmac on the Bangalore-Mumbai highway.

Let us do some math.

16500 / 30 = 550 KM per day.

At an average 80 KMPH per hour day time driving, he spends about 6hrs 45 Mins driving; and if he is driving during night time, he has not slept for one month.

Which company and are they still hiring
Are you sure about the 16500? As per the below maths quiet unrealistic imo.

Well, your math is spot on,
Where in my post did I mention that he did the driving himself, the car was delivered at the beginning of this month when my friend was not even in the country, till such time it was handed over to him, it was driven all over the place by different individuals.

And NO. It is not a used car.

Well, the odometer is there for everybody to see. However unrealistic it may sound.

Ok; no offence meant; but it did seem fishy.

Thanks for clarifying.

I think it is not correct to compare the Porsche to a Safari and even worse the Optra.

I have not driven the Cayenne so I will reserve any comments on it but I had driven the First Generation Safari and it was a Wild Vehicle to drive.

I do not like the Optra's Performance or looks that much. :(

Wow I'm quite impressed that someone got a Cayenne as a company car, that too during the recession. That's cool. Leave alone company, I wonder what sector the person works in.

But trust me, those who envy this person should really think again. To avail such perks one has to bleed for their company. My dad has 6 company cars in India, and 3 abroad. He works 7 days a week, and I think he has taken 3-4 Saturdays and about 8/9 Sundays off since Jan. Of course those days just mean that he works from home for around 5 hours that's all.

Bottom line, it's more of a curse than a blessing.

@ DocG
Well said, it is indeed the case, we call my friend "The Taxi Driver" because like a cabbie he never knows where the next minute will take him on work.
