An OHC joins the stable!

Its taken me almost 8months and about 10 OHC's before i could finalise on this OHC. I either missed out on good deals or dint quite like what i saw.

Finally i got this. Its my bro's car. So yes. FORD ikon 1.6 stays.
Its a 2001, Silver, Type 2, Honda City. Got 50k odd kms on the odo. Single Owner, All the right paper work etc.

A big thank you to Kaushik aka KSM-VTEC for helping me out with the details and the car.
And
Jitu Aka FORD ROCAM for having come and checked out the car.

Found it listed. Called the person and asked if i could meet him the next evening. He agreed. I asked KSM-Vtec if he could come along as he is the HONDA man with a ohc Vtec and would know of any creeks or sounds if any.
Went over the next evening and there it was parked like a car waiting to be delivered.
Upon getting really upclose to it I wasnt to happy at first sight and before the owner could come down we already started pint pointing issues like Head lamp assembly alignment, Panels, Bumpers etc. But they were all very minor.
Kaushik (ksm - vtec) drove the car and could find any fault except for maybe a pulley sound. That didnt seem too much of a problem. So we decided to call him later and let him know about the car the next day.
Unfortunetly the weekend was up and he wasnt available to speak to.

That we didnt mind as kaushik was speaking to his RTO person to get the car number verified etc.
During this time he called up jitu and asked if he was free to have a look at the car. Jitu bhai sorry for the late timing. We met jitu a day later and headed over to the person's house to inspect the car one last time before buying it. He spent alot of time looking in the engine bay to find any foul play or just faults. None found, we headed out for a test drive again. Nothing there too, everything seem clear for jitu's side and he gave me the go ahead for this city.
We now waited only for the car to get the green signal from the Rto guys, upon having got that the honda was delivered to us the next day.

Here are the first few pictures. The car is bone stock as of now. Will remain that way except for a filter.

Congratulations Dan. Welcome to the OHC club. The car looks good. How about some nice day light pictures? 50k kms is nothing for the Honda.

Enjoy your new car.

CONGRATS Bro!!!! Your effort in looking for a good OHC has paid off and am sure it will not let you down in the future as well.

I totally agree that 50-80 or even 100k kms dont matter too much for a Honda as long its taken care off (which sure looks like the case here). My Vtec still(80K) feels the same(Strong and ready to shoot) as it did when i bought it(50K).

Congrats to you and Ray once again!!!

Congrats dude. Looks nice and well-maintained Did you meet Jitu yesterday when you called me? Because we met yesterday when I was heading to Lamington Road and Colaba. Also, what tyres are you going to put in? Didn't get to talk properly yesterday, sorry for that since I was stuck in traffic for 3 hours. Lots of new stuff to share, time for a meetup?
