:D this is my exact expression typing this story here!

we had been searching for a nice luxury sedan for a couple of weeks now. initially started off thinking about the E class, 5 series and the A6. many of you suggested the volvo S80 but some how couldnt convince everybody on the decision panel. i still really like that car! the new E class is due in jan so dropped the idea of this car. i personally feel its not for the young. ET in your hands and spects on your eyes and surely you belong to the rear seat of the E class.

so after a little discussion, we thought of gradually going up the ladder of luxury. then the options were the C class, 3 Series and the A4. TD'ed the merc and BMW and felt C class won the battle there. dint really get time to check audi inside out. also loved the stance of the C! we have been dealing with autocars (kirti nagar) for years now so approached him for the deal. after a hard round of bargaining finalized the car. car was available at T & T moti nagar. white c220 cdi it was then! manual version has been discontinued (not that i was looking for it, wanted an auto from the start)

about the deal
31.62 ex-showroom, 1.43 registration and 53938 insurance from iffco tokyo. there is a tie-up between merc and hdfc and icici. got my loan approved at 4.99% reducing for 3 years. got the 3rd year warranty, body cover and a sports package free in the deal. all things from the company end, nothing from the showroom! sports package is just cosmetic. a different grill, fog lamp housing and air intake on the bumper. but it changes the entire look!!

about the car
she is super hot to say the least! the feel of the car after driving my swift was mind blowing. feature rich and solid build. interiors was welcoming and enough gadgets to keep you happy. not overcrowded on the console. stereo is decent enough. dont plan to play with it for some time as of now. sun roof is a cool thing to have in the night. thanks to the weather these days.
got 16inch wheels on the car. low beam is xenon and the throw of the light is just superb. a perfect bliss in the night. literally lights the entire road ahead. drive is fun as well. 41kgm torque pulls the 2ton monster pretty well. love the auto tranny! she just pulls away from the red lights in a jiffy. extremely eager to run away. pushed her hard and she is more than happy to go. strong grip around corners and reassuring brakes to support the rush. nothing much on the fuel consumption as of now and we are not concerned about it either with the pleasure she provides. this car is a perfect teenager ride. has alot to offer in every regard.
the only disappointment is that side view mirrors have to folded manually. what a shame for a car in this category!

1 issue i need help with is that there is no usb input. 1 aux in is all that is there. where can i get an aux to usb converter (if any)?

Have they added any more features to the 2009 model? Does the Bluetooth sync your contacts on to the screen?

thanks sahil! you have xenons on the low beam, parking sensors on front and back and curtain on the rear seats. i havent tried synchronizing my contacts yet. will try it in the morning and get back. bluetooth voice quality is great though.

The sports grill give it a more mean look. They should have made the rear more sexy though.

What were your wheels options?

For some reason I prefer the C-Class over the 3. Call me old fashioned but I think the mercs are more suited for our roads.

If only merc had a maintenance plan like BMW that would really be the icing on the cake.

The torque in the C220 is absolutely mindblowing. The ride quality is one of the best I have experienced with the adaptive dampers.

Sahil, I believe the 2009 variant now has xenon's and all round parking sensors. These were absent earlier.

Still no electric seats and still the left ORVM is flat not convex.
