Report - TATA Indigo CS LX

Hi All,
Here`s to share with you my initial ownership experience with my Indigo CS LX.

I had booked a Silver Indigo CS LX TDI at my hometown Gulbarga (Karnataka) V.K.G Motors. Got the delivery of my car on May 1st 2009. The first feel of the car gave me an indication that a lot has improved since the Tata Indica V2.

Drove the car from Gulbarga to Bangalore approximately 600 Kms (Route: Wadi - Yadgir - Shakthinagar - Kurnool - Gooty - Bangalore) Extremely smooth drive with AC and adhering to the speed restrictions of max sped 100 Kmph till the first 1000 Kms. We covered the distance in 10 hours.

Till date, 5000 Kms up and first two services done. The experience has been very good. A bit of a drag is felt while driving in city traffic which is manageable and is not a major problem. Haven`t driven on a long drive as yet after the initial one. Mileage sems to be around the 17 Km.Litre mark. The pick-up is good as well.

Over all, with the AC on & music playing, the car has been fun and a pleasure to drive!

How is the engine response? Do you feel power loss when AC Switched on ? Is the back seat comfortable?
