A dream coming true in a month ! my very own first car i20 Asta 1.2

Reason: Started thinking of buying of a car when my daughter born(She is 1 Year Now). Safety and comfort was the primary reasons.

I have seen brilliant reviews, criticism, feeback, advise etc from the great forum T-Bhp members. Thanks guys for responding positively

Tested Ritz , i20 and Grande Punto . For making it short i liked the Hyundai easiness in driving and gear shift and over all package and comfort, and back home we have a trouble free SANTRO from the last 9 years which may be also a reason for going for another Hyundai.

Color Booked : Sleek Silver
Delivery time : 3 to 4 Working weeks
Offer : Nil
Booked through: TRIDENT HYUNDAI, Indira Nagar
Booking Amount given: 10,000/-
Loan Amount : 400000/-

Axis bank already approved the loan and the EMI comes @ Rs.10240/-,
rate of interest :10.50% Fixed and one time Stamp duty charge of Rs.500/-
Pre clossure charge after 6 months 5% , before 6 months 10% , service charges extra.

Applied directly through SBI also till now no response.

OTR in Bangalore: Rs.664639/- This include insurance amount of Rs.19328/- but i m not going through the dealership insurance as i got a quote of 13k from IFFCO-TOKIO so going for that so saving some around 4 k.

Things i m not happy with i20 (marginally) :

Back seat is not so comfortable
Glove Box illumination missing even though its showing in the brochure.

The PDI list is ready with me, will update you with pictures and reports

I would like to add one more thing, The dealer told me that from now on there wont be any paper RC Book, The Karnataka RTO is issuing a SMART CARD as RC. There is a separate form for this, which you need to fill up and ink your signature

Congrats Wildon,

Hyundai i20 is very good looking car.
thought the engine is fragile,it won't affect the driveability.
As you said,It's very easy to drive in city.Interior and gadgets are up to the mark.
By brother has planned to buy Hyundai i20 Crdi or Fiat Punto MJD.
I am inclined on Hyundai.need a TD and finalize the deal in a month.

Great choice! Regarding delivery time: have you tried calling other dealers in Bangalore to see which one can give you delivery earlier? I did that in Pune and one dealer had Red Asta readily available. 4 weeks is a long time to wait. I got my Asta(o) which is supposedly made to order in 12 days to Pune!

Pune RTO also gives out Smart cards. No more paper :-)

thanks, I opted the dealer who is near to my Residence so it will be easy for me to give it for servicing etc..

The other dealer said the same waiting period. Since i'm not in a hurry and waiting for the SBI approval too..

in the petrol Hatch dept. i20 does tick the right boxes.

Drive safe and do get the anti rust coating if its needed. happy motoring

Update:- SBI approval Came and signed the agreement. Balance amount paid to the dealer and waiting for the delivery on last week of this month.

Guys , what are the accessories i can go for initially as there is no offer on i20. please advise.

One of my friend who is coming from UK this month end. I have searched few accessories from uk and found these two are interesting and which is not available in India.
The reason i m putting it here, my friend carries a bag size of 30" height, 16" width and i don't have any idea of the accessories dimensions which i selected. here are the accessories.

can you tell me whether it fits on that bag so i can tell him to purchase it.
