The quote I got outside is about 13k. And 18-19 k for a bumper to bumper paint job, including some tinkering & a bumper patching.
and hyundai quoted 8.5k just for a small patch. But I guess, this is the case with all the showrooms. Isnt it?

Re: Acquired a used Hyundai Getz GVS 2007

Hi Zteg,
I searched for Getz GVS and landed up in your thread.
It's been 3 years since you got your Getz, how's the car and the mileage? Since they have stopped the production, are you finding it difficult to get some parts or are they charging you high for service? I'm planning on getting a pre owned car and i came across a '08 Getz GVS with 25k on ODO. Asking price is 2.25L. What do you think? Should i buy the Getz or go in for pre worshiped i10?

I own a 2009 1.3 Getz Prime GLX and I must say its a gem of a car. I have done 47k kms so far and its still butter smooth and gives me around 12-13 in city and 16-17 on highways. As far as the spares go, touch wood, so far I haven't had to change anything major, so can't comment on it.

Re: Acquired a used Hyundai Getz GVS 2007

I have a 2008 Getz Prime 1.1 with 51000 KM on Odo. Never face any issue with spare parts in Pune. Except oil change it did not require anything till now.

My friend also has the same car as mine. He had a minor accident. His car was ready within 2-3 days with new bumper, headlight etc. The showrooms have enough spare parts with them.

As mentioned by others already, it is a gem of a car. You have enough apce inside and it drives well too. I get around 11-12 in the city and around 14-15 on the highway.
Spares are not an issue and is always available.
I would suggest you go for i10 since it is already 2-2.5 years since stop of production, you may not find any buyer when you plan to sell it. You can find plenty of buyers for i10 though.

Yes. I'm finding hard to sell even my Xing which is in production!
So, like you said it'll be difficult to find buyers for the Getz 3-4 years down the line from now.
But, i10s are rather over priced like the swift and lack space as well. That's why i was having a look at the Getz.
