agree, the central and right hand AC vents are a big pain. I move the left central vent louvre to full right and right central vent louvre to centre position. That way, I end up cooling my fingers a little less :D.

Can someone tell me hot to fold the rear seats ? Where are the leavers that we need to pull ?I was not able to do it by reading the manual.

Hmmmm, when you say fold the seats are you referring to just folding the seat back or double folding the seat?

To fold the seat back, there is a loop at the edge which you pull and fold the seat back. I am sure we can double fold the seat in a Ritz. Need to check in the morning.

Nikhil, by "double fold", do you mean folding (or rather lifting) the bench part of the back seat up against the rear of the front seats? I doubt if it has any hinges & lock for the same; I'll check the manual & the car too.

I made a typo , I mean't we cannot double fold the seat.

Hello Nikhil,

What's the fuel effeciency you are deriving from your green beauty.....within City & Highway runs?

How satisfied are you with your car? Would you like to recommend it to a person like me who is bit confused at the moment between a Figo Petrol & Ritz?

Regards

Rx, I got an average of 12km/Ltr, with AC on at 3rd position and 100% time in Delhi's Heat. The temperature here has been about 42 to 44 for last 2-3 weeks. I drive on weekends and that too during peak hours un evening and the traffic is bumper to bumper. I am very satisfied with this car.

Not sure if Figo would be a good choice. The FE if really low. I suggest you should go for Ritz.

RX,

The car delivers between 13 to 14 (depends on my mood :D) in city with full time AC. Recently went out on a 1000 km trip. The car returned a combined mileage of 22 kmpl. The 22 was highway, ghat sections and city driving.

In my earlier post I had mentioned that as 20. My apologies.

I recommend Zxi version to all prospective car buyers.

Nikhil

Hey Nikhil,
I am also getting a mileage :- 12.5 (average of last 3 tank fulls) for a 60% AC on. The car is driven in Kolkata in city traffic. It has clocked approx 4000 kms. I have a Vxi model. Tyre pressures @ 33 psi (checked once in 2 weeks).

I am a bit worried about the mileage. Is it normal or am i getting a low mileage than rest of the 'Ritzy' people. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

Hey buddy, I get around 13.5 within city and with almost 100% AC on. On highways i get around 18 .

Probably its the style of driving. Even within city bumper to bumper driving differs from normal paced traffic.

Thanks VID for the info, eventhough the internal RV mirror does the job, it gets painful when a vehicle gets too close from the rear with headlights on the high beam. I will get the internal mirror replaced tomorrow itself.

I happened to drive my cousin's Ritz at Vizag last week, and found it a hoot to drive---it is leagues ahead of the WagonR, both in pickup and stability at high speeds.

But one issue we faced was that the IRVM fell down when my brother's head grazed it. When I took it to a local workshop and got it fixed, I was shocked to see it falling while adjusting it. I had to get it fixed again with washers on the other side of the screws.

Did anyone else face such an issue with the IRVM?

Yes i agree with you funnyguru. I dont rush onto acceleration as soon i see green. I beleive in smooth acceleration and always try to maintain 50-60 kmph speed. Always try to get to the top gear as soon as possible, probably as soon as i reach the 40kmph speed.. but still.. looking for you expert advise...

I don't think that's a good idea. You are lugging the engine too much. If you are in 5th gear at 40 KMPH, your RPM will be way below 1500. This causes the engine to work too much to keep up the speed.

Guys,

I got 13 Kmpl FE twice (With 100 % AC) in Bangalore's worst (Bumper to Bumper) traffic. I have Vxi and it has done 3200 Kms till now. :)
Yet to check highway FE figures.

I am having a little issue with braking since 2-3 days.
When car is running at 50 kmph+ speed and I apply brake (Normal style); no harsh braking :-
I get 'Ggguuuuurrrrrrrrrr' sound from the Left front tyre, never used to hear that earlier. And this sound is definitely not due to roughness / friction of the roads etc.
Any problem with Brake shoe / anything else ?

Any suggestion ?

True as Gandhi mentioned. Your optimal gear change RPM range is 1500 to 2500, i always upshift gears at 2000 RPM, meaning 5th gear at 60k.
